Established in 2004, the China - Arab States Cooperation Forum is dedicated to strengthening dialogue and cooperation between China and Arab states, with the overarching objective of promoting peace and development. Its membership comprises China and the 22 states of the League of Arab States (Arab League).
In 2005, with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretariat of the Arab League, and other relevant institutions, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) initiated the China - Arab Business Conference. This significant event, co - hosted by the CCPIT, the Secretariat of the Arab League, the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, and relevant Arab state institutions, is held biennially, alternating between China and Arab states. Up to now, ten sessions have been successfully organized.
The first China - Arab Business Conference took place in Beijing in April 2005. Subsequently, the event has been hosted in diverse cities: Amman, Jordan (2007, 2nd session); Hangzhou, China (2009, 3rd session); Sharjah, UAE (2012, 4th session); Chengdu, China (2013, 5th session); Beirut, Lebanon (2015, 6th session); Yinchuan, China (2017, 7th session); Tunis, Tunisia (2019, 8th session); Beijing, China (2021, 9th session); Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (2023, 10th session). These conferences have achieved remarkable cooperation results and exerted a profound influence on the business communities of both sides.
In 2009, to better promote mutual investment, the conference was renamed the China - Arab Business Conference and the Investment Seminar of the China - Arab States Cooperation Forum. Since then, ten investment seminars have been held in conjunction with the conferences.
The China - Arab Business Conference and the Investment Seminar have received high - level attention and support from the governments and business sectors of China and Arab states. As time goes by, it has emerged as one of the most vital platforms for economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, playing a pivotal role in advancing bilateral cooperation and development.
The 11th China - Arab Business Conference and the 9th Investment Seminar of the China -Arab States Cooperation Forum will be held from April 27 to 29, 2025, in Hainan Province , China.
